Ground Turkey Rice Bowls
MAKE THIS RECIPE:
Brown 1lb ground turkey (or beef/bison/chicken) in a large skillet.
Add in: 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce, 1/4 cup brown sugar, 1 tbsp mirin, 1 tbsp sesame oil, & splash of apple cider vinegar
1 tsp powdered or fresh ginger, 1 tsp paprika, 1 tsp red pepper flakes (to heat preference), black pepper, and a pinch of salt (to taste).
Optional to thicken sauce by mixing 1/2 tbsp with 1/2 tbsp cornstarch, add to skillet.
Let sauce cook down and thicken just slightly. Add in fresh or frozen vegetables and let soften/cook for 3-5 minutes.
Pair with rice or noodle of choice and garnish with green onion and/or sesame seeds.

Perfect, fluffy jasmine rice
On the stovetop, bring 1 cup jasmine rice and 1 1/2 cup water to the start of a boil (starting to froth).
Add in 1-2 tbsp butter or oil.
Cover the pot and softly simmer for 12 minutes. Turn off heat and let sit COVERED for 10 more minutes.
Fluff.
Optional to add garlic powder, salt, pepper, parsley, etc.
